Big Bear Track Club is an upcoming elite training group established in 2014 and is based in Big Bear Lake California. Although being a new track team, the distance training group has developed world class athletes and has achieved several world standard times in distances ranging from the 800m to the 1500m. Multiple athletes have achieved top three finishes in Diamond League events, under coach Joe Vigil. BBTC has also developed a strong presence in Southern California community, and is working on establishing ongoing relationships with sponsors and contributors, both locally and nationally.
Big Bear TC athletes participate in selected community outreach activities, such as clinics, seminars and speaking appearances, with an emphasis on health, fitness and motivation. In particular, the athletes focus on youth running programs with several coaching high school cross country and track teams.
In addition, Big Bear Track Club helps raise awareness of the sport of distance running through a variety of promotional and marketing activities, including weekly news releases and sponsorship appearances.
